OPPO F5 vs Vivo V7 Comparison - Which is a better phone?

As promised, Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has revealed the launch details of the F5 Youth smartphone for the Indian market.

A month after unveiling the F5 smartphone, the Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has introduced the F5 Youth smartphone. The smartphone will come in Black and Gold colour option and will start selling in India starting December 8. A few millimeters taller and wider, the F5 is slimmer than the V7, with a thickness of 7.5mm compared to the 7.9mm on the V7. The resolution of the screen is around 2160×1080 pixels with the aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6763T (Helio P23) SoC, coupled with 3GB of RAM. In contrast, the standard Oppo F5 arrived with 4GB of RAM, while the Oppo F5 6GB has 6GB of RAM inside. The device offers 32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB by adding a microSD card.

Now, the cameras. That's where some important differences can be seen between the two phones. The Dual SIM smartphone boasts of a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture.

It is the front camera where the Vivo counterpart looks better with a 24-megapixel camera offering F/2.0 aperture and the same aperture size is present even on the OPPO F5, though the camera has a 20-megapixel lens there. Both the phones offer a lot when it comes to the front camera effects and modes. It packs a 3,200mAh battery which comes with Quick charging.

OPPO F5 Youth comes with 6-inch full HD+ 18:9 full-screen display and runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) with ColorOS 3.2.

Now, what makes the two phones very different? For security features, the device comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner.

The Oppo F5 Youth has been priced at Php13,990 (INR 17,836) in Philippines.
