Starbucks has a Christmas Tree Frappuccino

If Starbucks' two holiday cups have not put you in the Christmas spirit, the Seattle-based company's newest drink may do the trick.

The festive Christmas Tree Frappuccino looks just like the Fraser Fir in your living room, minus the presents, the mess, and the inability to drink it. Instead of being garnished with ornaments and pine needles that you somehow find under your furniture six years after the fact, though, it is topped with a matcha whipped cream and sprinkled with candied cranberries, a caramel drizzle, and a little dried strawberry "star" on top.

TODAY tried the beverage on Thursday morning but the finishing touches apparently weren't available at our local Starbucks yet.

Like the Zombie and Unicorn Frappuccinos before it, the green whipped-cream-topped drink is Instagram-ready and will be on the menu for only a few days.

Are you one of those rare breeds who prefers to drink cold beverages 365 days a year? The Christmas Tree Frapp has a super limited run starting from today December 7, through Monday, December 11 at participating United States and Canada locations.

The "Christmas Tree" elements of the Frappuccino come into play with the green Matcha whipped cream. And while it might seem a bit unusual to be sucking down an ice cold drink as you bundle up to go outside, the drink is a refreshing take on a classic holiday flavor.
