OnePlus is now rolling out a new update for its OnePlus 5T sets, and even though it's not Android 8.0 Oreo update you were hoping for, it's still one that you wouldn't want to miss.

After the OnePlus 5T launch, everyone seemed to love the smartphone, but somehow could not get over the fact that the camera quality was still lacking. The size of the new update is 285MB and it is already available via OTA or Over The Air transfer. Also, it was confirmed that the recent flagship will receive an update that will improve its camera performance.

To begin with, the photo quality has been improved.

According to the official changelog of the OxygenOS 4.7.4 update, it looks like there will be an optimized UI for the Camera app.

A previous report suggested that OnePlus is cooking up improvements to low-light photography and selfie shots on the OnePlus 5T and making the beautification mode optional. The update was released on Thursday and will reach all OnePlus 5T units over the next few days.

"For those who were on previous versions for OnePlus 5T, we appreciate your active feedback and attempts to reach out to us". There are also optimisations made for Wi-Fi battery usage, and the update also brings stability for fingerprint recognition and the Global Positioning System unit.

System changes include optimizations related to audio, vibration, face unlock, and WiFi battery usage. Also, you are recommended to use a Wi-Fi network to download the update package.
