Vice President Mike Pence's family has lost yet another pet--a cat named Pickle--just six months after its cat Oreo died.

"We will all miss Pickle, our very chatty, sweet kitty of 16 years", she wrote from the Second Lady Twitter account. The Pences had Pickle for 16 years.

The vice president's daughter, Charlotte Pence, posted a heartfelt tribute to Pickle on Instagram: "When we first rescued Pickle 15 years ago, she had been neglected so she was scared and mean and nearly never let us hold her".

'When we said goodbye to her last night, she was purring in our arms'.

The Pence family has had tough luck when it comes to pets over the past two years. The clan lost Oreo, its cat of 13 years, in June. And thank you to God for bringing this one into my life to grow and adventure with me all over the country, ' the post continued. "Our family will miss you very much", Karen Pence tweeted at the time.

He was a beagle adopted from Virginia when he was 2 years old. "Rest in Peace and give your siblings lots of talking-to's in heaven, baby".

After losing them, the Pences made a decision to add a dog named Harley, who is a Hoosier, and a kitten named Hazel.

The Pences brought two cats, a snake and a bunny named "Marlon Bundo" with them when they moved from IN to the Vice President's Naval Observatory residence IN Washington, D.C.
