Actor Reese Witherspoon is facing a lawsuit over the film Gone Girl which she produced.

In addition to suing Reese, Leslie is also suing the book's author Gillian Flynn, as well as the movie's director David Fincher. Besides Witherspoon, Weller is also suing the author Gillian Flynn and movie's director David Fincher.

Leslie Weller claims she wrote a screenplay called "Out of the Blue" back in 2005. Both centre on crumbling marriage and feature a wife who is seemingly ideal but, in reality, is orchestrating a devious plot to destroy her husband. She then sent it to a script consultant, which she claims set the wheels in motion for her script to get stolen.

The woman claims that there are several similarities with her screenplay and the movie, including how they both are based on a married couple's relationship where the husband and wife are drifting apart.

However, the TMZ report does not mention the damages Weller has sought from the defendants.

Weller also says her screenplay and Gone Girl both contain a scene with a hammer that leads people to believe the husband might hurt the wife.
