Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has pinpointed former Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata as one of the main threats Chelsea pose to his side in the Champions League.

The Spanish giants, who cruised through the group stage, finished ahead of Juventus and claimed 14 points in the six matches they played.

Chelsea were arguably one of the toughest opponents the Blaugrana could have ended up drawing in the next round of the competition, but according to Valverde, it's a tie which will excite supporters of both teams.

And he will likely be paying particular attention to Morata and Hazard in Chelsea's attack.

He told Belgian TV channel RTL: 'Everyone knows the respect I have for Zidane as a player, but also as a manager.

"With Morata, they have speed in attack and Hazard is very good between the lines. They're a strong team".

Monday's last 16 draw pitted the Catalan side against the team they lost to in the 2011-2012 semi-finals, with Chelsea going on to win the tournament that year.

"Chelsea are the champions of the Premier League, but we will play with enthusiasm because, although it will be hard, it's a very nice tie for us and for the supporters. In that aspect, it's easy to motivate the players".
