The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said a November traffic stop involving Washington Redskins defensive back Su'a Cravens was "not a case of racial profiling" after the National Football League player threatened to file a lawsuit.

However, officials from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office in Virginia told TMZ that Cravens was actually driving 39 miles per hour in a 25-mph zone, and he was pulled over strictly because he was speeding in a school zone.

And shoutout to the Police Officer that racially profiled me, followed me to the store, yanked and slammed me against my vehicle, cuffed me and threw me in the back of his squad auto for supposedly doing 39 in a 35 last week. The safety said he was on his way to get bread from a grocery store when he was pulled over into an Ashburn shopping center. "I'm black; I got tattoos on my neck and I'm out here in a nice auto", defensive back Su'a Cravens, 22, said in a video uploaded to Twitter. The Washington Redskins safety says he was forcibly removed from his auto and handcuffed before officers searched the vehicle, claiming they had smelled marijuana.

In a series of tweets on Monday afternoon, Cravens said the officer "racially profiled me, followed me to the store, yanked and slammed me against my vehicle, cuffed me and threw me in the back of his squad car" when he was pulled over for speeding.

According to official records, Cravens was cited for going 39 in a 25 and also for having illegal tint on his windows.

In a statement, Loudoun County Sheriff's said: "This traffic stop was not a case of racial profiling".

In Cravens' one video, he shows two cop cars in the parking lot behind his vehicle. In the profanity-laced post, Cravens said he would sue the officer who pulled him over for racial profiling.

Cravens' agent, Fadde Mikhail, did not reply to multiple requests for comment from USA TODAY Sports.

Cravens is due in court January 26.

Cravens has not played for the Redskins this season, walking away from the team a week before the season opener because of personal issues.

The 22-year-old California native was a second-round draft pick of the Redskins in 2016.
