LSU and Notre Dame's matchup is schedule to kick off on New Year's Day at 1 p.m. ET.

According to a report by The Daily Advertiser, LSU head coach Ed Orgeron might replace offensive coordinator Matt Canada with tight ends coach Steve Ensminger after the Citrus Bowl against Notre Dame on January 1.

Canada and coach Ed Orgeron have seemingly been at odds the second half of the 2017 season after LSU lost to Troy on September 30 when Orgeron would not allow Canada to run the offense the way he saw fit.

LSU could have a potential replacement for Canada on staff in tight ends coach Steve Ensminger, who served as interim coordinator after the school fired Les Miles and then coordinator Cam Cameron after four games in the 2016 season.

Orgeron reportedly had no comment on Canada's future at LSU when asked. He was rumored to be in-line for another job and Orgeron had said he'd likely replace him with Ensminger if that happened. The game will be televised on ABC.
