A'ja Wilson was not conceding anything, even with No. 4 SC trailing by 11 points with 12 minutes to go.

"It's not a situation I was comfortable with", Wilson said of the double-digit deficit.

That included a couple of timely calls against the Aggies (11-4, 0-1 SEC) - a 10-second, timeline violation on one possession and a double-dribble call on Danni Williams as she tried to gather in the ball for a breakaway layup with 5 seconds left and the game tied at 59-all. The last time Texas A&M visited Colonial Life Arena, the Aggies tied the game at 58 with 2.0 seconds to play, after a length-of-the-floor baseball-style pass from Taylor Cooper to Chelsea Jennings, before an foul by the Aggies sent SC to the line to make a game-winning free throw.

Chennedy Carter led the Aggies (11-4, 0-1 SEC) with 36 points, the fourth-most in Texas A&M history. But South Carolina, behind their 6-foot-5 All-American in Wilson, used a 15-2 spurt to go up 51-49.

Texas A&M was not done. She drove across the lane and banked in a short basket for the winning points.

Carter finished with 36 points - 19 of those in the third quarter - but was clearly out of gas as the game wound down.

Williams added 12 points for the Aggies, while Anriel Howard led the team with 16 rebounds.
