They both join the already cast Ansel Elgort (The Fault in Our Stars) who will play Theo, Willa Fitzgerald (Little Women) who will play Kitsey Barbour and Aneurin Barnard (Dunkirk) who will play Boris.

Jeffrey Wright (The Hunger Games franchise, Westworld) is in negotiations for Warner Bros. and Amazon Studios' movie adaptation of The Goldfinch, according to Variety. The movie will be helmed by John Crowley. As for Warner Bros., the studio will distribute The Goldfinch domestically and internationally.

In the book, Hobie is Welty Blackwell's partner, who is Pippa's legal guardian. Jeffrey Wright is said to be portraying the character of Hobie, who helps Theodore in leading a stable life.

In addition, THR reports that Luke Wilson (Roadies) has joined the cast of the film as Theo's alcoholic actor father.

Wright, known for his role as Bernard in the HBO sci-fi western thriller series Westworld, is in talks to play James "Hobie" Hobart in the movie, based on author Donna Tartt's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name. Alone and rudderless in NY, he is taken in by the family of a wealthy friend. He is tormented by an unbearable longing for his mother, and down the years clings to the thing that most reminds him of her: a small, strangely captivating painting that ultimately draws him into the criminal underworld. As he grows up, Theo learns to glide between the drawing rooms of the rich and the dusty antiques store where he works. He is alienated and in love-and at the center of a narrowing, ever more risky circle. Let us know in the comments.
