Joseph Parker will fight Anthony Joshua on March 31st (UK Time), with the fight being confirmed overnight by Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn. "It certainly won't be a shock to me when he beats Anthony Joshua and takes his titles back home to New Zealand".

Parker has fought just once in the United Kingdom, beating Hughie Fury but failing to impress the critics when he won on points at Manchester Arena in September.

I can't recall the last time a major heavyweight title fight was announced on a Sunday morning without a formal press conference.

"These fights aren't easy, cause there's a lot on the line, so respect to Team Parker for taking the challenge".

"Well, now he's about to find out, and the world is about to find out whether AJ can really take a punch. Training camp is underway and before you know, 31 March will be upon us". My entire existence is now devoted to proving what the boxing world already knows'.

Parker's promoter David Higgins predicted a fierce battle that would carry on the tradition of strong tussles between New Zealand and England.

"I've done it a few times now", he said.

Parker himself is looking to extend his own undefeated streak, with the WBO Heavyweight champion now 24-0 in his professional career, coming off a successful defence of his Heavyweight championship against Hughie Fury at Manchester Arena in September.

"Joseph Parker is the absolute epitome of the Kiwi sporting battler".

Joshua posted a video on Twitter confirming the fight for Cardiff as he bids to unify the belts in the heavyweight division.

"I like to fight, that's the main objective, and it's showing I'm never shy of a competition", Joshua said. He's consistently fought fighters in the world's top 10 and he's beaten them all easily.
