After the hack was noticed, Twitter briefly blocked the twitter handle of India's permanent representative to the UN.

It will take more than a hack to keep me down. We will show you the power of the Turk!

The pictures were posted during the early hours of Sunday, and interestingly, Akbaruddin's account had also lost its verified blue tick while account was in control of the hackers, reported ANI. The hackers also tweeted a photo of Pakistani president Mamnoon Hussain sitting next to a table that has a photograph of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. In 2016, nearly 200 government websites were hacked in India. It will take more than a hack to keep me down. "Thanks to Twitter India and many others who helped", Akbaruddin said in a tweet. Two Dutch hackers had claimed to have hacked into seven Indian high commission websites and published database of people of Indian origins, including their passport numbers, email ids and phone numbers.
