According toThe Hashtag Show, Marvel Studio's Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel will begin filming in May this year. Our friends at MCU Exchange were able to pull together some information about the crew of the upcoming film and now it's our turn!

It looks like Marvel's giving the production of Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 an early start date. Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige previously noted that the sequel will take place as Peter Parker enters his junior year of high school after the big Avengers: Infinity War battle with Thanos, hinting the film may not be settled in the fall at the Midtown School of Science and Technology in NY, but perhaps in the summer when the teen hero might spend a semester overseas.

THS was also able to confirm reports that the Homecoming sequel will be filming in either the United Kingdom or Germany.

Though fans know very little of Homecoming 2, the sequel to Holland's stellar standalone film will follow the events of Avengers 4 to kick off Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Captain Marvel is the next MCU film slated to begin shooting, while 2019's Avengers 4 is expected to begin pickup shoots around the time that Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters. We wonder how the fight with the Mad Titan Thanos will change things for everyone's friendly neighborhood Spider-Man in Homecoming 2. Avengers 4 debuts on May 3, 2019.

The now untitled Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel is set to hit theaters on July 5, 2019.
