Aly Raisman gave a almost 13-minute speech in court on Friday (January 19) in which she spoke out about the abuse she faced at the hands of doctor Larry Nassar.

Raisman said she was there to face her abuser so he could see she "regained her strength". "I and so many others would have never ever met you", said Raisman.

MATTHEW DAE SMITH/Lansing State JournalBuy Photo Judge Rosemarie Aquilina addresses a woman after her victim impact statement Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, during the first day of the sentencing hearing for former sportsmedicine doctor Larry Nassar.

"Your days of manipulation are over", she said.

"Unfortunately you have taken on an organisation that is rotten from the inside", Raisman said to Perry, who was not in the courtroom on Friday.

Aly Raisman, 23, came forward on November 13, saying she was a victim of sexual abuse at the hands of Larry Nassar.

Raisman spoke after her former teammate Wieber stood at the podium Friday and explained how Nassar groomed her with compliments, bringing her food and coffee when her coaches had placed her and her teammates on restrictive diets. She also explained how Nassar was able to continue with his abuse for so long. "You manipulated me and my family". "If over these many years just one adult listened, and had the courage and character to act, this tragedy could have been avoided", she said. Although she faced a possible fine from her sport's governing body for breaking a nondisclosure agreement (which Chrissy Teigen offered to pay if the org went through with charging her), Maroney sued USA Gymnastics for the cover-up, blaming their complicity, in part, for why she left her sport.

More than 100 women have come forward with allegations of sexual abuse by Nassar. At another point, Aquilina said she would allow someone "to do to him what he did to others" if the U.S. Constitution allowed cruel punishment.

USA Gymnastics in 2016 reached a financial settlement with Maroney that barred her from making disparaging remarks.

Blocks away at the state Capitol, three legislative leaders on Thursday called for Simon to resign or be fired by the board of trustees, joining a fourth leading legislator who had previously taken that stance. Now Jordyn Wieber and Gabby Douglas have also publicly accused Nassar, meaning that four out of the famous "Fierce Five" team who won gold at the 2012 London Olympics were allegedly abused by Nassar.

"I am a survivor".

The criminal cases against Nassar followed reports previous year in The Indianapolis Star about how USA Gymnastics mishandled complaints about sexual misconduct involving the doctor and coaches. They were just feet away from the disgraced doctor who sexually abused them, all under the guise that he was providing them legitimate medical treatment.

The board says reviews by campus police, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the US attorney's office have not resulted in criminal charges against anyone at the university other than Nassar, who was sacked in September 2016.

Nassar, who is now serving a 60-year sentence in federal prison for possession of child pornography, also accused Aquilina of using the trial for "seeking media attention."She wasn't having a bar of it. "Writing this mumbo jumbo?"

Thomas Brennan, a coach to Gwen Anderson, glares at Larry Nassar while Anderson speaks of Nassar's sexual assaults Thursday.
