Twenty-five years after he was tragically killed in a auto accident in the middle of his junior season, Chris Street's legacy remains important to the Iowa men's basketball program.

It took less than seven minutes to ensure that losing skid would end, as the third-ranked Boilermakers unleashed a record-setting performance from 3-point range against the woeful Hawkeyes. The Hawkeyes head to Minnesota for a Sunday Big Ten contest.

Purdue never left the outcome in doubt either, reeling off 18 straight points to lead 24-6.

Purdue shot 69 percent in the first half while holding the Hawkeyes to 25 percent. Defensively, Purdue yields 62.1 points against the opposing teams.

Four players are averaging at least 10.5 points per game for Iowa, they are Tyler Cook (14.8), Bohannon (13.5), Isaiah Moss (11.6) and Luka Garza (10.5) per game. They have played well this year. It's the first time its fell in back to back games.

Iowa remains one of the nation's most disappointing teams - but this was perhaps the worst the program has looked since the three-year stint of Todd Lickliter last decade.
