The Totaku Collection Has Been Unveiled; a Series of PlayStation Figurines

ThinkGeek is producing a series of collectable figures based on Sony franchises which look a heck of a lot like Nintendo's amiibo.

The first wave of characters that are being featured includes The Hunter from Bloodborne, Parappa from PaRappa the Rapper, Kratos from the God of War reboot, Crash from Crash Bandicoot, Sackboy from Little Big Planet, a Feisar from the Wipeout series and last but not least Heihachi from the Tekken series.

As our friends over at Push Square have kindly pointed out, it's not quite as if Sony has shamelessly taken a leaf out of Nintendo's book as while these are indeed officially-licensed products, they're being made by a third-party manufacturer and not by Sony itself.

Despite the amiibo-like appearance of both the figures themselves and their packaging, they will not feature any NFC functionality - they're just cool looking figures. Dubbed Totaku Collection, the figures are thankfully very affordable. In some European countries, the Totaku Collection will be exclusive to GAME stores. In addition, the small base where the Totaku are supported is in the shape of a cross and can be joined to the other by interlocking, forming fun scenarios with your favorite video games characters. The first series will release on March 23, 2018 and we are excited to see more in the future.
