There has previously been tension between Wall and his costar, Bradley Beal, and Barea's comments come one day after it was reported "failed" team meeting where, according to The Washington Post's Candace Buckner, "a couple guys took it the negative way" and it hurt the Wizards.

DALLAS (AP) _ Harrison Barnes had 20 points and 10 rebounds, rookie Dennis Smith Jr. scored 17 and the Dallas Mavericks finished a season sweep of playoff-contending Washington, beating the Wizards 98-75 on Monday night.

Wall took exception to an offensive foul that Barea committed against Kelly Oubre Jr.

Wall missed all four of his 3-point attempts as Washington went 7 of 32 from long range (22 percent) and shot 31 percent overall.

Wizards forward Jason Smith, a 10-year National Basketball Association veteran, said he didn't think the meeting caused any kind of "dysfunction" in the locker room.

"Just a little midget trying to get mad", Wall said. "So, I paid him no mind".

Barea - who is in his 12th National Basketball Association season - responded by saying he "finally has someone in the National Basketball Association he doesn't like", and added that he doesn't "think his [Wall's] teammates like him, either", according to MacMahon.

Barea, a 12-year veteran who is very generously listed at 6 feet, raised his eyebrows when Wall's comment was relayed to him. Barea replied to Wall's comment like this:"Now I have somebody in the National Basketball Association that I don't like". Barea has had one of the more incredible National Basketball Association careers, playing 14 seasons and winning a championship despite standing no more than 5'10. That's my first. I don't like him at all now. "So it's nothing new for him". But he didn't say that.
