Ross County manager Owen Coyle has signed former Liverpool and Paris St Germain striker David Ngog for a second time.

The Staggies are no strangers to a January transfer window signing but rarely have they managed to bring in someone with the pedigree of Ngog, a player who even casual fans of English football will be familiar with.

The 28-year-old Frenchman was a free agent after departing Greek top-flight club Panionios. He joins the side now bottom of the Scottish Premiership.

When the forward was with the Merseyside club between 2008 and 2011, he made a total of 94 appearances - 53 of which were off the bench - and scored 19 times.

Torres left in January 2011 but the big-money signings of Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll limited his opportunities and he left for Coyle's Bolton in a £4m switch in August 2011.

The goalscorer started his career at Paris Saint-Germain 12 years ago and has since also played for Swansea City and French Ligue 2 side Reims.
