The Wake Forest Demon Deacons lost their 4th straight game and dropped to 8-11 (1-6 ACC) on the season after being defeated by the 2nd ranked Virginia Cavaliers, 59-49, this past Sunday.

Virginia shot almost 46 percent in the second half, and the nation's most efficient defense held Wake Forest to 30 percent shooting after halftime.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Bruce Brown Jr. scored 19 points and Miami shot 58 percent from the field.

"Historically, Tony's teams have been teams that score in this scoring range", coach Danny Manning said.

But the Deacons never led in the second half against Duke when the teams played at Cameron Indoor Stadium on January 13, and the Deacons get their first rematch of the season with Duke's visit to Joel Coliseum on tonight. Asking a Wake Forest defense that's giving up an average of 73.2 points per game to stop that from happening seems far-fetched.

Virginia: The no-nonsense Cavaliers aren't into style points — a good thing, because they didn't earn many in a tighter-than-expected matchup with the league's second-worst team.

Duke is one of the better teams in the country, however, the Blue Devils are just 2-2 in their last 4 road games and as I expect Wake Forest to bring a strong effort into this one, I'm taking Demon Deacons to cover with the points. 7 Duke, leading by three points in the second half. Offensively, Wake Forest has been led by Bryant Crawford (15.9 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 4.7 apg, 1.8 spg), Keyshawn Woods (13.4 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.6 apg, 1.0 spg), Doral Moore (9.8 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 2.3 bpg), and Brandon Childress (9.0 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 3.6 apg). After a TV timeout, Virginia hit open 3s on consecutive possessions — by Hunter and Hall — to push the lead to 48-41.

The Duke-Wake Forest basketball game will be streaming on WatchESPN. The Demon Deacons have a rebound margin of 1.6 and a turnover margin of -0.1. Moore had 13 rebounds for the Demon Deacons, but none of his teammates had more than three. Clemson (16-3, 5-2 ACC), which plays at Virginia on Tuesday, is 18.

Wake Forest: Hosts a second top-five opponent in three nights when No. 5 Duke visits Tuesday night.
