Lionsgate Movies has released the first trailer for the Uncle Drew movie that will be out this Summer. Originally a digital episodic series conceived by Pepsi, the feature film stars real professional basketball players, who are still active or retired, as old basketball legends. Sporting white hair and fake facial hair, Kyrie is nearly unrecognizable as the titular character who shows off his best moves on the court and beats his younger opponents. You got Chris Webber looking like a tall preacher and Shaquille O'Neal as a kung fu master with a Wolverine haircut. "You're old because you stop playing", Drew shares some words of wisdom to Dax.

In addition to the former Cavaliers star, the movie stars former National Basketball Association players Shaquille O'Neal, Chris Webber, Reggie Miller and Nate Robinson. They naturally go on a collision course to face Howery's rival, played by Nick Kroll in what looks like a version of his immortal Bobby Bottleservice character. After draining his life savings, Dax enlists the help of basketball legend Uncle Drew (NBA star Kyrie Irving) and urges him to return to the court once again to win the coveted championship. The two men embark on a road trip to round up Drew's old basketball squad (Shaquille O'Neal, Chris Webber, Reggie Miller, Nate Robinson, and Lisa Leslie) and prove that a group of septuagenarian can still win the big one.

What started with one Pepsi Max stunt campaign back in 2012 exploded into a multi-part gag that has attracted more than 100 million views on YouTube alone.

The Uncle Drew name should carry a bit of weight with it thanks to the previous content, but there's no telling what type of audience the movie will have in theaters. Charles Stone III will direct the film with Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen producing.
