Melonie Diaz has landed a leading role in the upcoming Charmed reboot at The CW! What actresses play the sisters of Mel (Melonie Diaz) in this new version?

Diaz will play Mel, one of the three sisters who is described as a passionate, outspoken activist who loses her way in the wake of a family tragedy.

Diaz starred in 2013's "Fruitvale Staton" opposite Michael B. Jordan, a film based on the true story of 22-year-old Oscar Grant III, who was shot and killed by San Francisco-area transit cops in the wee hours of New Year's Day 2009. Per the CW, "this fierce, funny, feminist reboot of the original series centers on three sisters in a college town who discover they are witches".

The Charmed reboot, penned by Jessica O'Toole and Amy Rardin and created with Urman, is set in present time. Her TV credits include VH1 series The Breaks and the Duplass brothers' HBO series Room 104. Ben Silverman and director Brad Silberling will also serve as executive producers on the pilot from CBS Television Studios. What a heavy task to go after Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano and Rose McGowan.

She's repped by Gersh, Thruline Entertainment and Morris Yorn.
