"Great news, Trainers! If you're lucky enough to evolve your Dragonair into Dragonite during this month's #PokemonGOCommunityDay, your Dragonite will know a special move - Draco Meteor!" reads a Niantic tweet.

Kyogre and Groudon will be joining Rayquaza in legendary raids in Pokemon GO this week, and there are some special stipulations to keep in mind.

The first Pokemon GO Community Day took place on January 20.

The global challenge is based on who defeats the most Pokémon between Rayquaza, or Kyogre and Groudon combined. If not, players can expect Pokemon that prefer sunny or rainy weather to hatch more frequently from eggs in the same timeframe.

Whether or not Legendary Week convinces lapsed Pokemon GO players to return to the game or dedicated fans to participate in more legendary raids remains to be seen.

But Niantic has also announced Legendary Week, which starts today and runs until March 5.

Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza are known as the "Weather Trio", as each has a different domain and type of weather that they are associated with. Not only do they have the Dratini Community Day to look forward to, but they will also have additional chances to catch legendary Pokemon like Kyogre and Groudon as part of the game's Legendary Week, running from February 23 to March 5.

Fortunately, the Legendary Pocket Monster Rayquaza is relatively easy to defeat.

Pokemon Go trainers can use Jynx to do some serious damage against Rayquaza. Rayquaza also doubles as the more powerful creature in battle. The developers say the battles will be tough, so they're introducing new special boxes on February 24th that will have Raid Passes in them.
