Iowa State offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Tom Manning is leaving the program after accepting the tight ends coach position with the Indianapolis Colts, head coach Matt Campbell announced on Saturday.

Manning doesn't have any National Football League coaching experience but has gained plenty through the collegiate ranks.

He was the offensive line coach for Toledo (2012-15) before joining Iowa State.

Offensive lineman speaks with offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Tom Manning during practice August 4.

Coach Matt Campbell has two jobs open with the departure of Manning.

The Cyclones' offense smashed all sorts of school records under Manning, and he's another young coach that will be able to grow under the tutelage of Frank Reich.

Manning's offense set a school record for fewest turnovers in a season with 10 in 2017 and had two All-Big 12 first team players in now-junior running back David Montgomery and then-senior wide receiver Allen Lazard.
