Up until a few minutes ago, the prospect of the Mi Mix 2S launch was uncertain.

Apart from confirming the launch date and the name, Xiaomi has also revealed that the upcoming smartphone will be powered by handset will feature the Snapdragon 845 processor. However, that is a price you have to pay for a device that looks as premium as the Mi Mix 2S. Only a tiny portion, which probably amounts to 1% or a maximum of 2% on the right edge corner is occupied by the snapper, while the rest - 98%, if not more - of the front-panel is a fully operational touch-screen.

The Mi MIX 2s is also likely to borrow the "notch" element from the Apple iPhone X. It is also expected that the phone will hop on to the current industry trend, and include some type of facial recognition technology for biometric authentication, which will be in addition to the fingerprint sensor.

Talking about the rumoured specifications of the Mi Mix 2S, the report said the feature would come with the same design as the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, but the front-facing camera will be moved to the top.

The firmware leak reportedly said that Mi Mix 2S is coming with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, and will have 3400mAh battery inside, similar to Xiaomi Mi Mix 2.

For optics, it is likely to pack a dual-camera setup with a pair of 12-megapixel cameras with one featuring 2X optical zoom lens.

As far as the outer shell is concerned, the Mi Mix 2 [REVIEW], like its predecessor, is said to flaunt ceramic-based cover with gold-coated rings around the camera module. Besides, the flagship will support global 4G-LTE modem, meaning users need not have to carry a secondary phone if they plan to go worldwide trips such as the United States or Europe.
