It's been rumored for a while now, and where there's smoke, there's more often than not fire.

CM Punk is finally returning to the Octagon, TMZ Sports has confirmed - and this time, he vows to make up for that loss against Mickey Gall. And all evidence pointed to an appearance in his home town of Chicago, which the UFC will be visiting in June. UFC President Dana White hinted that Punk could be cut but it appears Punk is going to get one more shot in June at UFC 225.

Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for further information regarding Punk's fight on June 9th.

The CM Punk MMA show isn't over just yet.

White, for the record, has yet to comment on Punk's latest statement.

Punk made the announcement while responding to a rude person on Twitter who asked, "So when are we gonna see you cry again in the Octagon?"

Punk's signing in 2014 turned a lot of heads in the MMA world.

After a standout career as a professional wrestler, Punk made his debut with the Las Vegas-based promotion at UFC 203, where he was soundly defeated by Mickey Gall via first-round submission on September 10, 2016.

Punk didn't reveal an opponent, which will likely come from outside the current roster given the pro wrestler's lack of MMA experience. That said, it felt like the experiment was over.

Whilst Punk's opponent in the fight is yet to be officially announced, MMA Fighting did claim last month that negotiations were well underway for Punk to meet Mike Jackson.
