According to a press releaser, Missouri Governor Eric Greitens has ordered that the American and Missouri flags at state buildings in all 114 counties be flown at half-staff on Monday, March 12 to honor Officer Christopher Ryan Morton of the Clinton Police Department.

ABC 17 previously reported that Morton and two other officers were wounded on Tuesday after they were sent to the wrong house while responding to a 911 call made from another town.

Gov. Eric Greitens, who ordered all US and Missouri flags to be flown at half-staff Monday, spoke at the funeral, praising Morton and other police officers for confronting danger and defending the defenseless.

The suspect, James Waters, barricaded himself inside the home.

On Thursday, fellow officers and friends from Morton's military unit gathered sharing stories of Morton.
