Missouri forward Jordan Barnett could be in a lot of trouble just a few days before the NCAA Tournament begins. Barnett was suspended by the school for one week after being arrested early Saturday morning, March 10 on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

It was supposed to be a rebuilding season for the Seminoles after losing three starters from last year's NCAA tournament team to the National Basketball Association. Martin did say Barnett can practice with the team during the suspension, but is not eligible to play in any games.

If you harbor conspiracy theories about how the tournament field is assembled, the vacant 8-9 seeding line for KU's presumptive second-round game screamed for Missouri to be flashed as one of the prospective foes in waiting.

No. 8 Mizzou will play No. 9 Florida State on Friday at approximately 8:50 p.m.in Nashville, Tennessee. And it's possible he could play if MU advances to most likely take on Xavier, the No. 1 seed pitted against the victor of the North Carolina Central-Texas Southern play-in game. Martin said Barnett would be available Sunday if the Tigers are still in the tournament.

The Tigers have been shredded by the three-point shot in recent weeks, so they'll need to make sure they get a hand up in Cofer's face when he launches it from long range.

Missouri is led by Kassius Robertson and will have the services of freshman phenom Michael Porter Jr., who only played in two games. "I don't know about that".

With back-to-back tournament appearances, the 'Noles have now made the "Big Dance" in six of the last 10 seasons.

Eight Southeastern conference teams made the NCAA tournament field.

"I'm just really glad we get another chance to play and I don't have to end my career on that last game we played", Robertson said.

Martin is making his third NCAA appearance as a head coach and holds a 3-2 record.

He will travel with the team and could play if the Tigers advance. The Tigers are back in the NCAA Tournament and they have maybe the best player in the country and nothing to lose.
