Sterling K. Brown Produces "Deleted Scene" Scene From 'Black Panther' On 'SNL'

It seemed unlikely that SNL would miss the opportunity to spoof both This Is Us and Black Panther with Sterling K. Brown as host, and they delivered on both. The sketch even had the actors laughing.

Brown, who portrays the character N'Jobu in Black Panther, almost breaks character at the 2:58-mark when Thompson adds in a callback from The Lion King by serenading his burger like Rafiki holding baby Simba.

Thompson's character married into the Djalia family - his wife is part of the Dora Milaje - and ended up in the afterlife when he suggested a physical change that his wife should consider.

Brown's character pretty much speaks for anyone who has dealt with the frustration of familial dysfunction when trying to explain M'Butu's behavior. Then he is introduced to his not so enlightened and royal ancestor Uncle M'Batu played by Kenan Thompson.

Sterling K. Brown struggles not to break while Thompson asks T'Challa for weed, treats a lion's meat burger he's grilled like Simba at the opening of The Lion King (complete with the opening lines of "Circle of Life"), and eventually smashes said burger in Brown's face.

T'Cana then attempts to give T'Challa advise on an impending war while M'Batu tries to stuff the lion burger in his mouth.
