Leon Bridges announces new album, shares two new songs

Leon Bridges shared two new songs on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show today.

The American artist is steeped in soul, with his elegant debut album channelling Sam Cooke and Jackie Wilson in a 21st century setting.

You can listen to the two new songs below via. "Bet Ain't Worth the Hand" and "Bad Bad News", co-written by Ricky Reed, are the first singles off his just-announced upcoming album, Good Thing, which will be out on May 4.

Still essentially soul music, it's a sign that Leon Bridges intends to move on from his debut while retaining its essential spirit. Get backstage sneak peeks and a true view into our world as the fun and games unfold.

Over the past few years, he's performed on "Saturday Night Live" and was also featured on HBO's "Big Little Lies" soundtrack. Good Thing drops on May 4th.
