Chantal's picture of her dog, Yogi was posted on Facebook in December 2017 but it only went viral after it was shared by a user on Reddit recently. "It looks like it has a man's face".

Meet Yogi, the trending Shih-poo from Haverhill, England, who has human-like facial features.

"He is the most playful puppy", owner Chantal Desjardins told Inside Edition.

When Yogi's image spread to Twitter, it prompted comparisons to a whole host of celebrity lookalikes, from Oscar victor Jake Gyllenhaal to pop sensation Ed Sheeran.

One user said: "Probably has a lot to do with close-cut hair around the eyes, especially the brow and snout".

"The more I stare at the dog the more I'm seeing my own face....this is creeping me out... like looking into my soul weird", another person commented.

"Eyebrows are actually one of the most identifiable parts of the human face".

Desjardins confessed that she never noticed Yogi's human-like face until the pic went viral, prompting her to take a closer look, according to ABC News.

It wasn't long before her friends started pointing out that his face looked uncannily human-like, and some even asked her if she used editing software like Photoshop or one of those popular "face swap" apps to create the eerie effect.

'I feel really sad for the pup, because he's probably really cute, but he's also horrifying.

A third posted: "It scared me a bit to be honest. I feel like a brown-eyed, bearded man is trapped in there", one person commented on Reddit, where a photo of Yogi garnered over 19,000 upvotes, after being posted by an acquaintance of Chantal's.

"My friends were freaking out", she told Buzzfeed, while adding that the images are "not photoshopped at all", as many people assumed at first glance.

Whoever Yogi looks like, there's no denying that he's one fantastic dog. Chantal Desjardins is overwhelmed by the buzz her dog is making on social media, she says she "wasn't expecting" so much buzz and explained that "never had so many people reach [ed] out" to her on social media.
