For those wondering, Land Rover says the Range Rover Sport SVR used to set the record was not modified in any way.

Helping to set the record was the SVR's 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine that produces 423kW and 700Nm.

Last week, a Range Rover Sport SVR went for the throat of the sports auto. This supercar was truly designed with latest updated features, which drives like no other Land Rover. "The consequences of getting it wrong would have been really serious so I focused on establishing a rhythm and the Range Rover Sport SVR made this easy". As a reminder, the eight-cylinder mill produces 575 metric horsepower and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, allowing the performance SUV to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds (0-60 miles per hour in 4.3 seconds) and reach a top speed of 280km/h (174mph).

Back in 2016, a Ferrari 458 Italia driven by Fabio Barone went about setting a world record for driving through the 99 turns of the Tianmen Road in China. It also possesses the ability to take performance and luxury to next level. The SVR was a standard model, but at the wheel was Le Mans class-winner and Panasonic Jaguar Racing reserve and test driver Ho-Pin Tung. The SVR ended up with a time of 9 minutes 51 seconds, unofficially taking the record from the previous benchmark of 10 minutes 31 seconds set by a Ferrari 458 Italia.

The luxury off-roader took on the 11.3km hike complete with 99 tight turns and finishing with the 999 steps. Range Rover Sport SVR has the fuel tank capacity of 105 L and measures 1780 mm height, 1983 mm Wide and 4856 mm Length and Curb weights approximately 2,330 kg.
