Former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver John Brown is expected to sign with the Baltimore Ravens when free agency officially opens on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.

Brown, 27, will reportedly sign a one-year deal worth $5 million with an additional $1.5 million available in incentives.

Aside from Maclin and Brown, that leaves just Chris Moore, Breshad Perriman, and Quincy Adeboyejo as wide receivers on the roster now, along with DeVier Posey, whom the team intends to sign once free agency begins. Brown is just two years removed from a 65-catch, 1,003-yard and seven-touchdown season for Arizona in 2015, and he's been a unsafe deep threat when healthy.

Brown tended to health concerns in both 2016 and 2017, most notably a sickle-cell trait that sapped his previous explosiveness. He was slowed by injuries previous year and finished with 21 catches for 299 yards and three touchdowns in 10 games.

Brown was selected in the third round (No. 91 overall) in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Cardinals. He caught 45 passes for 573 yards and four touchdowns. The deal contains $14.5 million guaranteed, including a $10 million signing bonus. They could pursue former Green Bay Packers standout Jordy Nelson, who was released Tuesday.

Brown's production would take a hit the next two years in which he only managed to record 816 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 128 catches, though that could be largely attributed to injury and a bad offense as a whole in Arizona.
