Gaming is going old school! They may not make as many sequels to them as they should, but they at least do a good job of keeping them around.

Sega has accidentally revealed that it is planning to release a new Sega Genesis Classics collection for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The collection is scheduled to be released on the 29 May; perhaps there will be word on a Switch version soon after. The announcement was leaked via Twitter with a hastily deleted tweet, before 'Sonic the Hedgeblog' picked up on it and tweeted out the announcement trailer (below). That collection was chock-full of Genesis games, and even included a few unlockable SEGA Master System and arcade games.

At this early stage, a full list of games included isn't yet available, though we're sure to get one a bit nearer release.

The final detail learned from the leaked trailer is that Steam's apartment-like menu for 2016's SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis Classic Hub seems to have been ported to this collection, and it is worth noting that it featured a way for users to upload mods; however, it remains to be seen if this collection could do something similar.

Speaking of which, there is no mention of the Sega Mega Drive Collection for Nintendo's console.
