"Due to a security concern, we have made the hard decision to cancel tonight's Bud Light x The Roots SXSW Jam".

A statement from sponsors Bud Light reads: "Due to a security concern, we have made the hard decision to cancel tonight's Bud Light x The Roots SXSW Jam". After working proactively with SXSW, the Austin Police Department, and other authorities, Bud Light believes this is the best course of action to ensure the safety of our guests, staff, and artists, and appreciate your understanding.

In a series of Tweets that were deleted within 20 minutes, Roots drummer Questlove wrote that the cancellation was due to a "severe emergency".

"Uh, welp can't say much but for those in Austin waiting in line to see us tonight". Ingram, 26, is accused of issuing the bomb threat that canceled the Roots' show Saturday night at Fair Market. "They'll make official announcement but I'd rather save ya'll the trouble of waiting in life". "These are the times we now live in". It's 2018. Show cancelled.

The Roots & Friends Jam was scheduled to take place on Saturday night (March 17) at Fair Market in Austin, Texas as part of this year's South by Southwest festival. Bud Light had no comment on the Chronicle story. Ludacris, Jessie Reyez, Rapsody and more were also set to perform at the event.
