The University of Central Florida finished the regular season with a ideal 12-0 record, but were not invited to the College Football Playoff semifinal because of the American Athletic Conference's lackluster schedule.

The Alabama Crimson Tide may have won the CFP National Title Game back in January, but that hasn't stopped the undefeated UCF Knights from proclaiming themselves to be the champions of the 2017 college football season.

Earlier Sunday, Greg Byrne, the AD of the actual national champion Alabama, trolled UCF after the women's basketball team beat the Knights 80-61.

"Our policy has been to schedule Disney parades when we win New Year's Day bowl games", he tweeted.

"Great win today over UCF for @AlabamaWBB!".

UCF athletic director Danny White was quick to respond to Byrne's tweet. "We've won 2 in the last 5 years". They scheduled a parade at Disney World and unveiled a championship banner.

Now, at the very least, you have at admit that UCF's declaration of a national title was a genius move - it earned the school over $171 million in exposure.

UMCB quickly responded, thanking the "National Champions".
