Joe's University freshman reported missing in Bermuda

A police spokesperson said, "Police are asking the public assistance in locating 19-year-old Mark Dombroski, of Pennsylvania, who is a visitor to the island on a Rugby Tour with St. Joseph's University".

She thanked the citizens of Bermuda and the police for "standing shoulder to shoulder with us during this ordeal".

Police appealed for the public's help Monday and fellow rugby players joined the search for an American college student reported missing in Bermuda at the end of an worldwide tournament.

Mark Dombrowski, a student at St. Joseph's in Philadelphia, is missing in Bermuda. They were supposed to return to the United States later Sunday.

Mark Dombroski, 19, of Media, Pa., was last seen on a close circuit TV (CCTV) video at 1:15 a.m. Sunday about 1.5 miles away from a bar he had left an hour earlier.

Surveillance cameras reported him walking east after visiting with his teammates in the tavern. Alcohol is not believed to have played a role in his disappearance, police said. "He wanted to get back".

Police in Bermuda have launched a search for a 19-year-old college student who went missing during a school rugby trip on the island. The team from Saint Joseph's was among more than 20 taking part.

According to Yarusso, Dombroski's parents have also arrived in Bermuda.

Police are asking anyone who has "witnessed these incidents" or has information on Dombroski's whereabouts to call their respective police station or the Crimestoppers Hotline at 1-800-623-8477.

The university has not yet issued any statement.
