Over St. Patrick's Day weekend, Denver Broncos fans across the world got an early glimpse of what newly-acquired quarterback Case Keenum will look like in an orange and blue home jersey. That includes the Denver Broncos, and they knew it right from the start.

In three seasons, Siemian has completed 59.3 percent (495 of 835) of his passes for 5,686 yards with 30 touchdowns and 23 interceptions for a quarterback rating of 79.9.

Siemian, 26, heard about the deal when he was in Mexico for spring break with his fiancée, Bo, a law student at the University of Denver.

"I'm here for Kirk, I'm here for these guys, " Siemian said.

It looked like the chapter for Siemian in Denver had ended, and the trade opens up a new role for Siemian, who enters the past year of his contract. Keenum, coincidentally, signed with the Broncos.

He's 13-11 as a starting quarterback. Vikings general manager Rick Spielman lauded Siemian's quick decision-making, but there's plenty of improvement that can be made.

He struggled at times and hurt his shoulder, which he had surgery on nearly three months ago.

Siemian took over as the starter for the retired Peyton Manning on the Broncos in his second season of 2016.

The Vikings made a big splash by signing Cousins and defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson last week, so the rest of their offseason moves will likely be minor in nature.
