These are odd omissions, considering Premier Kathleen Wynne's government has made progress on law and order, from bail reform to the promise of a new Ottawa jail.

Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli is not a fan of the Throne Speech as delivered today by Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Ontario's Lieutenant Governor, claiming it snubs northern Ontario.

It appears Wynne is ceding the crime agenda to PC leader Doug Ford, who proposed private sales of marijuana before rethinking himself.

"There is no reset on 15 years of Liberal waste and political corruption", he said in a statement.

The Liberals have said no sitting days will be lost because prorogation falls over March Break and that all government bills and motions introduced earlier will be reintroduced once the legislature resumes.

Wynne prorogued the legislature last week to set the table for today's speech and has denied it's an attempt to wipe the slate clean before the vote on June 7.

The Throne Speech outlines the next steps to build on the government's plan for fairness, and providing care and opportunity during this period of rapid economic change.
