Both stars from The Karate Kid are back in a new trailer for Cobra Kai, the upcoming YouTube Red series that's poised to make "How do I get YouTube Red?" a trending search term.

The series will follow Johnny Lawrence's (William Zabka) journey to redeem himself after his crippling defeat to Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) 30 years ago.

Fans of the original films will be thrilled to see Johnny Lawrence living a pathetic life, as Zabka's character became one of the quintessential high school bullies in the '80s, with the Cobra Kai martial arts organization requiring students to embrace their killer instincts.

LaRusso, meanwhile, is all grown up and working as a vehicle salesman.

That being said, Cobra Kai premieres on May 2. Hopefully it's as fantastic as this trailer suggests. While Daniel is thriving with his own auto dealership, Johnny appears to be struggling until he witnesses a teenager being bullied by a group of students. "Not on my watch", Daniel says.

The 10-episode series, which was created by Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald, is an exception to YouTube Red's rule of, as Vulture wrote, avoiding "massive campaigns some streaming networks have put behind big projects".

The preview ends with Daniel seemingly preparing for a fight and telling Johnny they aren't done. Will Smith's Sony Pictures Television Studios-based Overbrook Entertainment will exec produce with James Lassiter and Caleeb Pinkett overseeing for the company.
