Jerry O'Connell joins The Big Bang Theory as Sheldon's brother

It's been a long wait, but The Big Bang Theory season 11 is finally doing something that we wanted to see a long time ago: Bringing on board Sheldon's brother Georgie. Their mother Mary, who is portrayed by Laurie Metcalf, is also expected to make appearance on the occasion. It was just announced that actor Jerry O'Connell has been cast in the role of George "Georgie" Cooper, Jr.

This is unedited, unformatted feed from the Press Trust of India wire. And, "BBT" Executive Producer Steve Holland reveals Sheldon's brother Georgie is heading to the show. According to a report by the Hollywood Reporter, actress Kaley Cuoco, who plays Penny on the series, promised fans that the parties "don't go the way you think they would go", hinting at some hilarious storylines ahead.

With the debut of Young Sheldon, we've met all of Sheldon's family and are given a deeper look in to Georgie and Sheldon's relationship. Now, fans are expecting Jerry O'Connell to deliver some big laughs as the adult version of the character. - Sheldon and Amy's wedding day, with the TV couple set to tie the knot as the eleventh season of the show draws to a close on 12 April. So far there's been no news on whether Amy Farrah Fowler's family will be arriving for the wedding. We have yet to meet her father, but her mother was played by Annie O'Donnell on a video call on "The Desperation Emanation" episode.

Fresh off a stint as guest host on The Wendy Williams Show, the Mission to Mars star will take on the role of Georgie in an upcoming arc.
