How To Add Microsoft's 'Ultimate Performance' Power Policy To Windows 10

As Microsoft's Windows 10 Mobile efforts come to a halt, Instagram appears to be abandoning the platform entirely.

In February, Microsoft introduced a new power policy to Windows 10 Pro for Workstations, called "Ultimate Performance".

So now Instagram users will have to switch to Instagram mobile website instead of logging in on App. Instagram mobile site allows users to use filters, post photos and put up stories or more. To me its surprising as Mobile apps are easier to access as compared to other means.

If you're happy to take these caveats onboard, gHacks' Martin Brinkmann has not only made the Ultimate Performance policy available for download, but written up instructions on how to load it into Windows 10 Pro/Home and activate it. As long as Windows 10 Mobile users don't mind losing the convenience of using the app, this could be a non-event. However, considering the growing number of apps that recently dropped out of the platform, it's not hard to understand why Instagram followed suit. As Microsoft states, it could be more demanding on hardware and if you don't get much of a boost, it's probably not worth the extra wear and tear.
