The Twins begin a two-game series with the Cleveland Indians tonight at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in Puerto Rico.

Recovery efforts continue in Puerto Rico seven months after Hurricane Maria devastated the area. The team is playing a series against the Minnesota Twins this week in Puerto Rico, which is still rebuilding following the devastating hurricane that ripped through the island previous year.

The players made a decision to put aside one playoff share to donate from their September payout.

On Monday, the team announced its plans to donate its full playoff share to hurricane aid efforts in Puerto Rico. The team's donation, and $4,000 given by the Cleveland Indians Wives Association on Monday, will go directly to communities where Indians All-Star shortstop Francisco Lindor and catcher Roberto Perez grew up. Lindor held an event at his former school Monday, where he presented a check to fund the school's sports programs and fix its fields.
