The Delhi Daredevil's Rahul Tewatia took 3 crucial wickets of KKR's. Gambhir's stay was short lived as he was bowled by Shivam Mavi leaving Delhi's run chase in trouble. But the two batsmen who amazed the spectators were Nitish Rana (59) and Andre Russell (41). While Russell was at his usual best and bludgeoned Delhi bowlers all over the park, Rana played a watchful hand and kept getting boundaries at regular intervals.

Chasing 201-run target, Daredevils had a disastrous start as they lost three wickets in the first three overs. However, the shining star of KKR Kuldeep Yadav and Sunil Narine took 3 wickets each and snatched the match from the DD's jaw.

But the duo of Sunil Narine (3/18) and Kuldeep Yadav (3/32) triggered a collapse as Delhi folded for 129 in 14.2 overs.

Kuldeep conceded successive sixes against Maxwell but the wrist-spinner had the last laugh, dismissing the Australian for. Chawla bowled the first over, took the wicket of Roy (1), beautifully stumped by Karthik.

Delhi had begun the game well with Trent Boult - who went on to bowl Russell to end his hopes of topping KL Rahul's record 14-ball fifty in the IPL - delivering the first maiden of this year's event.

In his second over, Boult accounted for Narine's (1) wicket and ensured the all-rounder doesn't score quick runs for his side.

While young Rana never kept a wrong foot in his entire innings of 59 runs till his dismissal, Russell's innings sky-rocketed to 41 from 11 balls. He hit 5 fours and 5 sixes until KKR's skipper took his catch.

But they still managed to score 50 runs in the powerplay, thanks to some clean hitting by Lynn (31) and Uthappa, who scored a brisk 35 from 19 balls. From there on, it was all downhill for Delhi as they lost wickets in a hurry.

Despite being a little expensive, Trent Boult has picked up 4 wickets in 3 games. Mavi then compounded the misery on them by sending the ever reliable Gambhir packing in the third leaving the Knight Riders reeling at 24/3. They jumped to second in the points table with four points from four matches, just behind Sunrisers Hyderabad who have six points from three games.

This time around he will be wearing the blue and red jersey of Delhi and will face Dinesh Karthik and co, when these two teams collide in the much anticipated clash at Eden Gardens on Monday. Hence the chance of DD Winning this match is rare.

Indias Under-19 World Cup winning pacer Shivam Mavi got his maiden IPL wicket in Gambhir (8) in his first over as the former KKR skipper played on.

The only blip in Russells innings was when he was dropped on 7 by Jason Roy off the bowling of Mohammed Shami, but from thereon there was no stopping the Jamaican. At one stage we thought they will not get to 170-175 but then getting to 200 was a good effort by them.
