J. Cole Announces His New Album Will Drop on Friday

It's been since 2016 that J.

The event is at the Gramercy Theatre in NY.

Following the aforementioned performance, Cole jumped back on social media to reveal that he has a new album on the way and it's titled KOD.

He also said that the album (about 12 songs) was completed in two weeks.

According to Brian "B.Dot" Miller of Rap Radar, the album's acronym means "Kidz On Drugz", "King Overdose," and "Kill Our Demonz". In the past couple years Cole has been quiet while his label signees J.I.D. and EarthGang have been on fire, becoming some of our favorites in the game right now.

Naturally, Twitter had all kinds of things to say about a new, surprise J. Cole joint. After his 2014 album Forest Hills Drive went platinum, he kept the momentum with the platinum-selling 4 Your Eyez Only.

Many people noted that Drake announced his new album was coming in June, making this an all-around good day for hip hop fans.
