The Kia Picanto Australian Open edition has been so successful, the importer has moved to shore up sales with an on-going variant in the range, taking over where the limited-edition model left off.

It's arrived, the cute little Kia Picanto GT-Line.

The GT-Line rides on 16-inch alloy wheels and also scores GT-Line badging, red accented seats, alloy sports pedals, six speaker sound system, daytime running lights and LED taillights.

Basically a permanent version of the AO Edition launched earlier this year, the GT-Line brings a raft of visual upgrades inside and out for a more athletic feel. A GT-Line pack adds contrasting body accents, dual exhaust tips and body kit.

Four colours are available (one solid, three premium) - Clear White (solid), Aurora Black, Titanium Silver or Signal Red (premium), with the latter three asking for an extra $520.

Power comes from the same 1.25-litre naturally-aspirated petrol as the standard Picanto, making 62kW of power at 6000rpm and 122Nm of torque at 4000rpm.

All Kias are covered by a seven-year/unlimited kilometre warranty with seven years roadside assistance and capped price servicing.
