But now is the time for getting affairs in order, to distribute the more than $12 million and counting raised in response.

After 11:59 Wednesday night, the funds will be transferred from the GoFundMe campaign to a newly created non-profit: the Humboldt Broncos Memorial Fund Inc.

First and foremost, the Broncos' volunteer board of directors would like to express their tremendous love and honest gratitude to everyone who has generously donated time and money to support our organization and its families, as we navigate through this dark and heart-wrenching time.

Money from the GoFundMe campaign will be transferred to a newly created non-profit corporation known as "Humboldt Broncos Memorial Fund Inc." to be allocated for their intended goal.

Humboldt Broncos president Kevin Garinger is thanking everyone for the overwhelming show of support and love that has been received in the aftermath of the April 6 bus accident that claimed 16 lives and has left 13 others injured with some still in hospital.

An advisory committee will be established to make recommendations for the allocations of all funds that will be held in trust.

"The strain on the Broncos' organization's limited resources has been vast", he wrote. Once we have formalized the composition of this committee, we will provide you with an update. To accomodate incoming funds from individuals, groups and fundraisers, the team and their legal counsel Robertson Stromberg launched the HumboldtStrong Community Foundation. "The Humboldt Strong Community Foundation, which he said will "support Humboldt Broncos players, employees, families and volunteers, as well as first responders and emergency services personnel, teams, athletes, related organizations and communities affected by the crash".
