The aspiring teacher lived with her boyfriend in Stewartby, Bedfordshire and graduated from the University of Hertfordshire. It was also reported that she did not let him sleep in their bed for nine months and also took over his Facebook account.

Worth controlled every aspect of her boyfriend's life since he suffered from hydrocephalus, a condition where fluid builds up in the skull. The torture occured between April 2016 to June 2017.

Worth was later arrested and admitted charges of controlling or coercive behaviour in an intimate relationship, wounding with intent and causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He also had his arm in a sling. Neighbors reported that Worth's boyfriend would be seen with black eyes and appeared to be limping on numerous occasions.

Worth, whose boyfriend suffered from hydrocephalus - a build up of fluid inside the skull - was arrested in June a year ago after neighbours heard shouting in the early hours and called police.

"She accepts that she has in the past, on a number of occasions, used blunt objects and implements to strike him and that he suffered injuries as a result of her doing so", Madge said.

The ambulance crew noted injuries to the man's hand and burns to his arms and legs which were being self-treated with cling film.

During one incident Worth was seen at window "armed" with a screwdriver or hammer, the court was told.

The boyfriend was immediately taken to the hospital where it was discovered he had second and third degree burns that left permanent scarring and "5% of his total body surface was scalded". He added that Worth threw boiling water on her partner.

The couple met in 2012 when they were both 16 years old, but from the beginning she started to control him.

The court heard Jordan, who is now in a new relationship, had two sides and came from a loving and supportive family and had previously carried out voluntary work. "She accepts that she has in the past used a knife to cause injury to her partner".

Worth now has a new boyfriend, and was made the subject of a restraining order against her ex.

Worth had discouraged her former partner from contacting his family during the abusive relationship.

'She accepts using boiling or hot water to cause injury to him'.
