Acer Malaysia announced three new limited edition laptops inspired by the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War.

The Aspire 6 - Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War Captain America Edition is priced at US$848 (RM3,299).

The new machines are basically existing models in the Acer range but customised to fit the Avengers theme and offer decent specs alongside competitive pricing. Once they're launched offline, they will be available online from April 23 exclusively on Amazon India.

The Nitro 5's comes equipped with an Nvidia GeForce GTX1050 graphics while it has a 7th Generation Intel Core i5-73000HQ processor supported by 8GB of DDR4 RAM (upgradeable to 16GB). It comes with an aluminum built body with Captain America's pentagram on top.

To deliver a smooth and lag-free online gaming, the laptop comes with 2×2 MU-MIMO wireless technology and for a great game image, the 15.6-inch FHD IPS display will immerse you further into the game.

Just like the Captain America edition, it has a 15.6-inch Full HD screen paired with Dolby Audio Premium and Acer's TrueHarmony audio. Albeit, not created to be ultra-portable, the laptop isn't so big that you can't carry it around. In terms of connectivity, it features Wifi 802.11 ac, USB 3.1 Type-C port, USB 3.0 port that supports power-off charging and two additional USB 2.0 ports.

The lineup includes limited edition laptops that feature designs influenced by Captain America, Thanos and Iron Man, each exhibiting the characteristics of the heroes and villains.

The Nitro 5 features a portrait of Thanos decorated with IMR finishing technology, complementing its bold matte black chassis outlines and hairline-brushed finish.

It has the more powerful i5-7300HQ processor, 8GB of memory and the NVidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card. The notebook sports a 5.6-inch full HD IPS display with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and a 1TB SATA HDD.

The mid-range gaming laptop isn't the best option in the market because even though it has solid gaming performance, its components seem a little underwhelming at the current price point.

Lastly, is the 1.6kg Acer Swift 3, which comes with a classy red colour and has Iron Man's Arc Reactor on the top which glows when the laptop is powered up. The Acer Swift 3 Iron Man Edition retails for RM4,399. Running on Intel's 8th Generation i5-8250U processor, it also features Nvidia GeForce MX150 with 2GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory.

It is claimed to offer up to 10 hours of battery life that should offer enough juice to get users through the day. The one complaint about the basic edition was that it looked boring. This Acer notebook is priced at Rs 79,999.

Chandrahas Panigrahi, CMO and Consumer Business Head at Acer India, stated, "We're excited to work again with Disney Consumer Products and Marvel to bring technology even closer to consumers through their favorite characters".
