Fortnite players still think Tilted Towers will be destroyed by a comet

Fortnite Battle Royale fans are counting down to the Tilted Towers meteor strike in the best way possible.

For one, the comet appears in the sky above Tilted Towers, and players have long theorised that this is how Epic is going to remove the area - by having it destroyed by the comet.

Players expected the meteor strike to happen on 18th April, but as yet nothing has happened, although many expect the strike could still happen before the end of season 3 on 30th April.

There's a sound being made by the meteor and a Redditor found that, when run through a spectrograph, the "L-Dance" emote is seen. Epic Games' priority was to fix this bug as it was causing players to aim higher than usual to avoid hitting obstacles.

With the increased meteor sightings, it looks like we may finally get those answers here soon so stay tuned with us here as we update this story! The town's imminent destruction has been all but guaranteed thanks to mounting evidence over the last few weeks, with one fan even going as far as to discover a meteor already hidden under Tilted Towers. So, all we can do is wait and see if the theory is true and Epic Games actually blows up the Fortnite Tilted towers with a comet.

Instead, it's likely the 4/18 part of the Morse code was simply misinterpreted and refers more generally to April 2018 rather than the 18th of April.

While it's now unknown what will happen to the map post-comet, some have taken a dinosaur sticker unlocked at the 98th tier of the Battle Pass as a hint that Season 4 may be based on a prehistoric theme. Thus, we have up until the end of the month to see what's in store.

My theory? This will be Epic's clever way of introducing a new map to the Battle Royale players.
