Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched the Moto E5 series of smartphones in the entry-level segment. In case of Moto G6 Plus, both the 4GB and 6GB of RAM models will ship with 64GB of internal storage. The Moto G6 phones may look the same at first glance but they are very much different in many aspects. Taller screens seem to be the dish of the day.

The new standard from Motorola is built around a 5.7-inch Full HD Max Vision display.

- Moto G6 is wrapped in scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass with a 3D contoured back for a comfortable grip. Lastly, the Moto E5 Plus settles for a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. The back itself has a reflective wave pattern and an arched feel for a comfortable grip, while the front has rounded glass for smooth edges. In terms of hardware, the phone runs on a Snapdragon 435 SoC, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage (expandable to 128GB via microSD). However, going by there pricing in Brazil, we can expect Motorola to launch both the devices under 10k in India.

This new smartphone majors on expansive screen plus camera ability. The 12MP and 5MP dual rear cameras with f/1.8 aperture promise great captures. AI smarts get applied here for auto-recognising scenes, applications and objects. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 425 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. Motorola has specced a 3200mAh battery which you charge via the USB Type-C port.

But for daily usage, it's the Moto G6 which has stood apart in terms of functionality, ease of use, a sleek display, and a grippy yet stunning design.

While the Moto E5 Play will launch globally, the E5 Plus shall remain limited to the U.S.; and while their prices shall be determined by the phone carriers, it is expected that they will start in the $100 range. The phone comes with an ultra-wide 18:9 aspect ratio and has an integrated Dolby Audio preset modes for an enhanced sound experience. Yes, it is 720p, but it is an 18:9 ratio screen.

Battery: 4000mAh battery with Turbocharging. Its highlight is the 5000mAh battery, with Turbocharge support that will provide 6 hours battery life on 15 minutes of charge. However, the Moto phone features a USB-C port for all its data and charging needs. The Moto G6 Plus has a physical home button with integrated fingerprint scanner under the 5.9-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. There will also be a Moto E, but it will not be available in the US.

Moto G6 Play has a 5.7-inch HD+ resolution display (720p) and gets a Polymer glass body design. The series will come out with Moto E5 Play and Moto E5 Plus, plus a Moto E5 standard model, which will not be available for the United States market.

The higher-end Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus feature a dual-sensor, 12 MP and 5 MP camera setup around the back, while the Moto G6 Play sticks with a single 13 MP snapper.

The battery is a bit of a concern as it is surprisingly small rated at 2,800 mAh, but Motorola has made it interchangeable, something which we don't see these days.
